Dear Canadian Media, a twitter essay web comic

On June 11th, 2020, author, organizer and Black Lives Matter Toronto co-founder Sandy Hudson published a series of tweets calling out the way in which mainstream media cover and ask questions about systemic racism and various forms of racial injustice. In it, she offers some free advice for the types of questions journalists should be asking in order to truly hold public officials accountable for upholding white supremacy.

Tableau D’Hôte Theatre commissioned Montréal illustrator D. Mathieu Cassendo to create a short web comic of Sandy’s twitter essay in order to amplify her message and reinforce the calls to #DefundThePolice.
